Two ST Tournaments at Texas Showdown 2016!

Jumpsuit Jesse will is running TWO ST tournaments at Texas Showdown 2016 this year. Friday (April 22nd) is a standard singles tournament. Saturday’s (April 23rd) main tournament will be ratio style! Both tournaments are being run on UDCPS2 hardware using 27inch CRT TV’s via S-Video. The stream will be announced when the details become available.

PLEASE PRE-REGISTER IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.

Friday April, 22nd 7PM CST – Standard Singles Tournament
Best 2 out of 3 for standard matches.
Grand final is 3 out of 5
Double Elimination
Akuma is banned

Saturday April 23rd 7PM CST – Ratio Style Tournament
1 match only
Double Elimination
Maximum of 4 Characters

  • Every player has 7 points to use. Each character is worth a certain amount of points based on their overall character ranking.
  • Maximum of 4 characters can be chosen(surplus points are forfeit once you reach the max).
  • Tournament is CHARACTER LOCKED, meaning you cannot change characters at all during the tournament. You can switch the order in which you play them in each match.
  • Character choices will be recorded before the start of the tournament for each participant.

    Nor Cal Regionals ST Tournament – March 25 @4PM PST

    Nor Cal Regionals 2016 is taking place this weekend and the Super Turbo tournament will be taking place on Friday, March 25 at 4PM PST. There will be a stream for Super Turbo on Iplaywinner. If you have any questions, get a hold of ultracombo before or at the event. Here’s details of the tournament:

    – Entry fee is $5 but you must be registered for NCR. On-site registration is available for both NCR and the ST tournament.

    Mikeidge will be providing two head-to-head ST machines and there will also be UD-CPS2 stations available.  The H2Hs will be available on Sunday as well for casuals.

    Defend the North will be featuring special guests from Japan: Mattsun and Shogatsu.  Shogatsu will be playing against Damdai in a special First to Ten exhibition.  Mattsun will also be playing Riz0ne in a First to Five exhibition.

    So Cal Regionals 2015 ST Tournament

    eltrouble has just announced that he will be running a ST Tournament at this year’s SoCal Regionals 2015!

    It will be taking place on Friday, October 9th, 2015 at the Ontario Convention Center.

    The schedule itself will be worked out with Valle when he returns from TwitchCon and will be announced at a later date.  I intend to have it start in the early afternoon.

    If you are already registered for SCR, you only need to come see me at the venue and pay the $10 tournament fee for the ST Tournament.

    If you are not registered, you only need a Spectator Pass to enter the venue ($10 for 1-day, $25 for 3-day).  $10 tournament fee still applies.

    ST Tournament Rules

    Double Elimination
    3/5 games per set.  Applies to all matches including finals.
    We are using 2 Undamned CPS-2 superguns, which are usable with most PS3 and Xbox360 controls.
