Kansai vs Chubu Team Battle Part 2 tonight @ 10PM PST

The Kansai vs Chubu Team Battle Part 2 will be taking place tonight (10PM PST / 1AM EST).  Some of the participants who are already confirmed: Batayan, Tsuji, Gunze, Teppei, Nekohashi, YuuVega, Aniken, Marubouzu, Yomiai, Edo, Nero, Hama, Gan, Gase, and Otochun.
 
The following players are not confirmed yet but may participate: Komoda, Shooting D, BiriChun, Mayakon, Raburabuatsushi, Shogatsu, KKY, malure, Y2G, Mikarun, POS, Jiroken, and Kusumondo.

Also, don’t forget to check out Arkadeum’s Super Saturday show coming up within the hour which will be followed the NorCal Regionals ToL II qualifier starts at 2PM PST, being streamed by Arturo “Sabin” Sanchez.

An article posted earlier today on Eventhubs quotes Nuki from his blog stating that he will team up with Daigo Umehara and Tokido at X-MANIA USA at EVO 2014!

Japanese Grandmaster, Kurahashi is Japanese Invite #3!

Japanese Grandmaster, Kurahashi has confirmed his participation for X-MANIA USA and TOURNAMENT OF LEGENDS II at EVO 2014!  Kurahashi is a true legend of Super Turbo, winning Tougeki twice in 2003 and 2007.  He’s also won all three X-Mania Europe titles and most recently, placed 2nd with YuuVega and Opemai last year at X-MANIA XIV.
 
A bit of a rarity in Japan, Kurahashi is a master of many character, most notably Guile, Boxer, and Ryu and has decided that he wanted Ryu to represent him on the ToL II poster.

Gian Recital 2014 – Final Fight

KKY and Mattsun have announced that this year’s annual Gian Rectial 5vs5 team tournament will take place on May 4th.  This year’s tournament is being labeled as “Final Fight” and will be the last Gian Recital.   It will be streamed via Mikado’s TwitchTV channel.

When/where:
– May 4th, 2014 @ 2PM (Japan Time) / May 4th 1AM EST / May 3rd 10PM PST

Rules:
– 5on5 Team Tournament
– Akuma is banned.
– Speed Turbo 3

Entry fee:
– 500円 per player.

Nuki confirms participation for X-MANIA USA and ToL II

Fighting game legend, Nuki has confirmed his participation for X-MANIA USA and TOURNAMENT OF LEGENDS II at EVO 2014!  Nuki has competed at EVO numerous times and has placed 2nd in Super Turbo on four different occasions: 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2008. He recently won X-MANIA XIII in 2012 along with Sasori and Sashishi.
