TRUST Version 4.0 Now Available

XSPR posted on SRK regarding  a new version of TRUST.

New Features:

+20 new “Custom” slots
Savestate Creator
Config inputs a little easier
Edit Observe scripts from menu, and
Edit Lesson’s HTML (center pane text) a lil easier

More of the Savestate Creator will be automated, but for now you have to select P1 and P2 manually and press Shift-F7 like in the video at the start of the round. Then you can load &7 in your current Custom scripts, or rename it (best to keep the number within the right range, see prev. info) to so you can work on others scripts and come back to it later.

You can download it here:

http://code.google.com/p/trust-xspr/downloads/list

You can use that for both upgrading as well as new installations (new users). It won’t overwrite your current Custom Slots 1-10, but feel free to back up anything before upgrading (customs, etc) in separate folder.

Interview with Japanese great, Aniken

Japanese Ken master, Aniken, took the time to answer some questions from Philcito.  Philcito was kind enough to let us host the interview on the STR site.  Here’s an excerpt from the interview:

“Your younger brother is well known as the best Chun-Li player in the world. Do you train with him often? What is your routine?”

“My brother has always been, and will always be, my greatest rival. We’ll be honest and point out each other’s weaknesses and train on a daily basis. We wanted to get stronger and stronger and beat other players.”

The ST Games at EVO 2013!

Super Street Fighter II Turbo, now in its 19th year of competition, returns to the tournament circuit for 2013! And it’s all thanks to YOU and tournament organizers around the globe who are taking part in the dream of seeing ST returned to the grandest stage!

Last year, The TOURNAMENT OF LEGENDS created unprecedented success and attention for the venerable arcade fighter that birthed competitive fighting games. World Warriors from around the globe attended major after major, culminating in a Saturday night, EVO-stage showdown between two of Japan’s top Grand Masters, watched by over 28,000 viewers on the main EVO stream.

Riding this new wave of popularity, for the 2013 season, the ST Revival Committee brings you: “THE ST GAMES“. An Olympic-style competition to be played out at majors across the country and ultimately at EVO 2013 in July at the Paris in Las Vegas, NV!

THE ST GAMES at EVO will be comprised of four tournaments:

Event #1: RATIO TOURNAMENT: Spend your points carefully to create the perfect team from the entire ST cast.

Event #2: 3 VS 3 TEAM TOURNAMENT: The quintessential, classic ST team event!

Event #3: CHARACTER LOCK TOURNAMENT: Choose your one true World Warrior, through thick and thin, in good times and in bad, in 9-1 matchups and 2-8’s!

Event #4: THE GRAND FINALE: Win 3/5 matches to advance, double elimination, no holds barred (although Akuma is)!

And prior to EVO, players will be able to earn “ST Games” points at the following tournaments:

So Cal Regionals January 19th Irvine, CA
Winter Brawl February 23rd – 24th Philadelphia, PA
Texas Showdown April 12th – 14th Houston, TX
Civil War April 19th – 21st Richmond, VA
East Coast Throwdown May 18th – 19th Morristown, NJ
Northwest Majors TBA Seattle, WA
Super Arcade TBA Walnut, CA

The player with the overall highest score becomes THE EVO 2013 ST GAMES CHAMPION!

For more detailed information and rules, visit the ST Games page.
