Kakerugo 5on5 takes place May 4th

Kakerugo information

This year’s Kakerugo (formerly Gian Recital) 5on5 will take place on Wednesday May 4th at a new venue, Game Daytona. There will be a pre-tournament the day before and both events will be streamed.

Date/time: Wednesday May 4th @ 2PM (Japan time) / Tuesday May 3rd @10PM (PST) / Wednesday May 4th @1AM (EST)
Pre-registration: April 1st – April 17th
Entry fee: 600yen (3000yen per team)
Rules: Akuma is banned. Teams cannot consist of only one character (Example: No all Claw teams)

Gamespot Versus 4.5.16

Here is this week’s Gamespot Versus East vs West team battle from April 12th, courtesy of Super Street Fighter II Turbo.

Rules: Two teams are chosen beforehand as well as player order. The first two players from each team battle each other and the winner stays on to fight the next player from the other team. Once a team has run out of players they lose the event. The remaining players on the winning team face each other in an exhibition at the end of the event.

Two ST Tournaments at Texas Showdown 2016!

Jumpsuit Jesse will is running TWO ST tournaments at Texas Showdown 2016 this year. Friday (April 22nd) is a standard singles tournament. Saturday’s (April 23rd) main tournament will be ratio style! Both tournaments are being run on UDCPS2 hardware using 27inch CRT TV’s via S-Video. The stream will be announced when the details become available.

PLEASE PRE-REGISTER IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.

Friday April, 22nd 7PM CST – Standard Singles Tournament
Best 2 out of 3 for standard matches.
Grand final is 3 out of 5

  • Every player has 7 points to use. Each character is worth a certain amount of points based on their overall character ranking.
  • Maximum of 4 characters can be chosen(surplus points are forfeit once you reach the max).
  • Tournament is CHARACTER LOCKED, meaning you cannot change characters at all during the tournament. You can switch the order in which you play them in each match.
  • Character choices will be recorded before the start of the tournament for each participant.
