Big ST Weekend – Texas Showdown / Gamecenter ST GAMES and EB Stream GGPO Tournaments + Arkadeum

A big weekend of Super Turbo kicked off last night with Arkadeum hosting the first Friday night Super Arcade tournament stream, won by Mike Watson!

Today, Texas Showdown will be holding an ST GAMES tournament at 1PM CST (11AM PST/2PM EST).  It looks like ST will not be able to be streamed but keep checking back @ Texas Showdown to see if any of the matches are streamed.

At 12PM PST (3PM EST), The E.B. will be streaming the third of four qualifiers for their Super Turbo Global Domination Series.  For complete information on the tournament and to still sign up before it starts, click here.  The stream will be at the E.B Stream @ http://www.twitch.tv/TheEBStream.
Following the E.B. Super Turbo Global Domination Tournament, Arkadeum will go live with Sergjiev and eltrouble presenting the next installment of the Super Turbo Tutorial series.  The stream will be taking place on Arkadeum’s Twitch TV channel @ http://www.twitch.tv/arkadeum.
 
And finally, the Gamecenter Nor Cal ST GAMES tournament will be taking place this afternoon.  They’re expecting to start between 3-4PM PST (6-7PM EST) and will be streamed by Mizuki @ http://www.twitch.tv/thenipahhut.

Civil War V ST GAMES Tournament Information

Civil War V is under two weeks away and they will be running four ST tournaments (all four ST Games formats) on a VS arcade head to head cabinet. Entry for all four tournaments is just $20.

Friday night: 4/19 – 3v3 Team tourney
Saturday: 4/20- Character Lock Tourney, Ratio Tourney
Sunday:  4/21 – Double Elim tourney 3 of 5.

The winner of the Double Elimination Tournament on Sunday receives one of Civil War’s famous replica trophy swords and ST GAMES points for EVO!

1st – 5 ST GAMES Points
2nd – 4 ST GAMES Points
3rd – 3 ST GAMES Points
4th – 2 ST GAMES Points
5th – 1 ST GAMES Point

Texas Showdown ST GAMES Tournament April 13th

This coming weekend, Texas Showdown will host the next tournament in the series of ST GAMES “qualifiers”.

The ST Tournament will be run on Astro City Japanese cabinets on Saturday April 13th at 1PM CST and Street Fighter legend, Alex Valle will be entering the tournament.  Valle already has the maximum five points earned before EVO (winning So Cal Regionals) but that will not stop him from trying to win more tournaments.  Who will stop him?

The top 8 will receive ST GAMES points for EVO:

1st – 5 ST GAMES Points
2nd – 4 ST GAMES Points
3rd – 3 ST GAMES Points
4th – 2 ST GAMES Points
5th-8th – 1 ST GAMES Point

EVO Early Bird Registration Ends Tonight!

Reminder: Today is the last day for Early Bird registration for EVO 2013!

EVO Registration:

A-Tier (Event Pass) $20 (choose this if you are only planning on competitng in The ST Games.)
S-Tier (Premium Pass) $40 (if you also want to watch the EVO Finals on Sunday.)
S+ Tier (Competitor’s Pass) $50 (if you are also competiting in any of the official EVO games.)

Each ST Games tournament will be $10 ($40 if you enter all four tournaments) to enter and can be paid at the venue.

The character ratios for the ST Games have been decided. Players will have SEVEN Ratio Points to spend in the Ratio Tournament and can have a maximum of FOUR characters on their team. Duplicate characters are allowed.

We’re happy to announce that the Gamecenter in San Mateo will host a Nor Cal ST GAMES event on April 13th!
 
The event will be streamed by Mizuki @ http://www.twitch.tv/thenipahhut
 
The top eight finishers will earn ST GAMES points that will be applied at EVO.
